About Me

I am currently a graduate from the London College of Communication, having studied a BA Animation. I am extremely interested in developing Virtual Reality as part of my career, so I am learning as much as I can, while working for my local Coop. If I were to describe myself then I’d say, I was empathic, sincere and friendly. When I am happy, I’ll sing whatever song is going through my head at the time.

This blog is to document any useful tips or solutions I have found for myself and anyone else having difficulty with Maya, Blender, VR and more! Originally, this blog was part of my course to keep notes from all my lectures but now it has grown into a helpful tool for myself to reference and for others to learn from.

Back Story:

Before I decided to pursue animation, for a long time I wanted to be an actress. For 12 years, I went to Saturday morning drama schools which normally involved 3-4 hours of singing, dancing and acting classes. We also had hundreds of opportunities to perform in some fantastic venues; the 02 Arena, Pavilion Theatre in Brighton and multiple town halls. I was also part of a choir that toured to Barcelona, which was a great experience. A particular drama school I went to offered auditions for professional work and I entered singing festivals and acting exams (LAMDA).

For college, I studied a Subsidiary and Extended BTEC in Performing Arts Level 3. After secondary school, this was a breath of fresh air and I passed with flying colours, loving it all the way. But along the way, I felt it wasn’t for me anymore.

So I explored my drawing, art, and came across animation. Once I had made my first bouncing ball, I was HOOKED! So I applied to university and did a 3 year BA Animation course, where I discovered my talents for 3D modelling, rigging and animating. For my final project, I pushed myself to make the very first Virtual Reality experience of the course at LCC.

Now that I have graduated, I am looking to expand my skills in 3D Modelling and Animation to develop games and VR through independent learning and goals while I find myself a job in the industry (fingers crossed!).
